Do you have problems with your horsemanship?

Do you want to learn how to soften your horses up?

Do you want to learn to build a partnership with your horse based on mutual respect and trust?

...Then turn to Martin and Barbara of the Rocking MB.

Martin was born and raised in Morro Bay Calif. He grew up riding and starting his first colt at the age of ten with help from his grandfather Roy Troutt. At the age of nineteen he moved to Nevada where he worked on some of the biggest ranches in that state as well as Utah, Oregon, Montana and Wyoming. At that time Martin would tell you "I don’t want to ride a horse that won’t buck."

When he hired on at the Pine Creek ranch in Nevada to start colts, an old hand that had seen a lot of years became his mentor. George Smereldo told Martin almost anyone can buck a horse out and steal a ride on him... but it takes a real horsemen to talk them out of bucking and become a willing partner based on respect and trust. Martin spent the next three years starting colts for Pine Creek ranch turning out well rounded ranch horses.

Individual riding lessons using our horses.

We first teach you how to have the horse respond to you on the ground by working with body language. Lessons using your own horses are also available.

Dan Hemsworth of Ft. McMurray AB Canada had this to say - Your knowledge and experience combined with an outstanding teaching style provided me with both insight and confidence. If I were to use one word to describe your approach it would be respectful. Respect for the horse and student were fundamental components involved in your program. I was particularly impressed with the manner in which you linked exercises in a progressive manner. This allowed me to understand not only the "how" but more importantly the "why".
