No matter what disciplines you plan on using your colt for, be it trail riding, roping, barrel racing, etc; a good start is the foundation for success. At the Rocking MB there are two parts to our program. We start colts using lots of ground work, de-sensitizing techniques, moving away from pressure, responding to body language and lots of outside riding. The best chance of your horse never bucking is to never let it come to that point. Rocking MB has the horse stopping, turning, backing and moving from pressure before we ever mount the horse for the first time. Nine times out of ten, if at this point the horse offers to buck, we can talk the horse out of it. You must have the horse’s respect on the ground, before you belong in the saddle, as you will not have it there either. Horses buck for one of two reasons. These are either out of fear or disrespect. The second part of our program is to work with you the owner, before your horse goes home. This is your horse and you will be the one to continue its training. Consistency is the most important factor. The first thirty days of your horse’s training is critical to a life time of success.

We take horses from anywhere and for thirty days and beyond.

The Rocking MB works colts from April through October. First come first serve so book early. Contact us to reserve your horse’s training spot, pricing and any more information you may need.

A good start is an investment to a life time of safe and enjoyable riding.

The Rocking MB wishes you and your horse happy trails!
